Laundry...

So, i did laundry for the first time today. It took forEVER but at least i got all my homework done while i was waiting.
This whole homework thing is absolutely no fun! And of course the classes I actually like don't have any assignments yet. So, today was Book of Mormon, World History, Spanish(...AGAIN) and Science. The science class literally almost put me to sleep (not a good sign, eh?) but I'm gonna LOVE the World History class. It seems similar to my Heroic Journey class which i also LOVE. Today we learned about symbolism in art and architecture. My professor used cathedrals and the Salt Lake temple as examples... the Salt Lake temple has crazy amounts of symbolism if you really look at it... it was way cool to analyze significant pieces of architecture that way.
I also learned something extremely humiliating today... spanish brings out my southern accent. :'( yes... it's terrible! I was quite distraught when i realized this. But I guess that's what I get for growing up in the south and at least everyone else thinks it's "cute." Apparently i'm the only one bothered by this...

So, after craving veggies for about a week, my roommates and I went to subway... and i can say that i officially LOVE cucumbers!! I mean, i really love them! ...and tomatoes.... i'm making myself hungry.... I really want a salad. Like a Newk's Caesar with grilled chicken... or a Newk's Favorite... Wow, i never really thought I'd crave food from my place of former employment, but here i am, REALLY wanting a Newk's Favorite... with no artichoke hearts and feta instead of gorgonzola.. aaaand as you can tell by the way that last bit made hardly any sense, i'm extremely tired. So, I think i'll go to bed now

So, maybe I should start sleeping..

First day of classes almost over. I can tolerate most of them, but I absolutely LOVE my heroic journey class! The professor is SUCH a goober! He's way chill. we were talking about Chuck Norris, the Beatles, Politics, listening to music AND we only have one test the entire semester and it's only 10% of our grade.... the professor cracks me up. His hair is kinda sticking up, and at first i thought he gelled it... but honestly upon further inspection during the class, i think it's naturally that way.... or maybe the wind did it. Who knows? anywho, it's going to be a fantastic class! So, as i'm waiting for my communications class, i compiled a slide show for your enjoyment of pictures from two of my roommates and I being complete idiots in the idaho cold...

I-Night!

So, tonight we had I-Night. It was fun... well, ok the planned activities weren't so great. Ok, they might have been had we wanted to wait in line for hours. So we improvised and went to our friend's apartment and watched a movie after watching people fall off the mechanical bull! The following pictures are only a bit of the fun we had. (oh, and ps i can't figure out how to make the picts behave, so they're a little discombobulated...)

So, I'm in Idaho... and I have a blog!

I figured this was the easiest way for me to keep everyone informed on my goings on.

I'm going to "Inight" tonight. It's like this massive party on campus. It should be pretty fun.
